Meet the Course Director

Dr. Lynda Verghese,
MD, FRCOG, PGCert Med.Ed
Dr. Verghese is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, North Wales. She is the Labour Ward and Maternal Medicine Lead. Her interests are high risk obstetrics, complex medical disorders in pregnancy, preconception planning, benign gynaecology and postgraduate medical education.
She has over 20 years of clinical experience and worked in busy tertiary units in Birmingham and Manchester. She is passionate about promoting vaginal birth and supporting women’s choices.
She is the author of the RCOG e-learning core knowledge module on forceps and ventouse (assisted birth). She is part of the training faculty of the RCOG Operative Birth Simulation Training (ROBUST) course, PROMPT and Intrapartum Fetal Surveillance (IFS) in Wales.
