What you will learn

This one-day course is designed for medical professionals who have little or no experience with Urodynamic testing, and for those with some experience to become more comfortable with performing Urodynamics.

You will learn to identify key components and steps to perform a Urodynamic study. There will also be a hands-on portion of the day designed and dedicated to enhancing the users tactile knowledge of the urodynamic study and LABORIE software.

Learning Objectives
Following the course, participants will be able to:
  • You will gain a strong understanding of the importance of clinic set-up and steps to consider during the study.
  • Learn the key components of the Urodynamics study.
  • Learn the steps to performing Urodynamics.
  • Review basic lower urinary tract anatomy and physiology
  • Setting up software & equipment

Kimberly Gales

 

Kimberly Gales, Clinical Educator Team Lead, has been with LABORIE for 17 years.

Her current responsibilities include providing customers with training and support on Urodynamics and Urostym software and hardware, the training of new Clinical Educators, working with sales and marketing to ensure new product introductions are communicated to the team, a presenter of the 'Practical One Day Educational Course' and oversees and assists in the creation of new educational materials for the course.

Kimberly’s professional associations include being certified by the Certification Board for Urologic Nurses and Associates (CBUNA); certification by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals as a Surgical Technologist, and she is a current member of the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA).

She served in the United States Navy for over 8 years during which she performed Urodynamics procedures. Serving as The Leading Petty Officer for the Urology Department her duties also included maintaining and overseeing training and education for junior sailors.

Kimberly’s passion is education. Serving as a role model for young women and girls, by supporting positive self-images and education. Encouraging them to believe in themselves.
