This two-day workshop is designed for medical professionals who have entry-level and moderate experience with urodynamic testing to become more comfortable performing urodynamics.

You will learn to identify key components and steps to perform a urodynamic study. There will also be a hands-on portion of the workshop designed and dedicated to enhancing your tactile knowledge of the urodynamic study and LABORIE software.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a strong understanding of the importance of clinic set-up and steps to consider during the study.

  • Learn the key components of the urodynamics study.

  • Learn the steps to performing urodynamics.

  • Learn how to set up the software and equipment.

  • Review basic lower urinary tract anatomy and physiology.

Guest Speaker (online): Dr. Mikel Gray
PhD, PNP, FNP, CUNP, CCCN, FAANP, FAAN

Dr Gray is a Professor and Nurse Practitioner with the Department of Urology (School of Medicine) and the Department of Acute and Specialty Care at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing and is a board member of the Society’s Center for Clinical Investigation.

 

He has authored or co-authored 3 books and authored more than 50 chapters and 200 articles in peer reviewed journals. He has both lectured nationally and internationally on topics related to neurologic urology, and urodynamic testing, urology nursing, wound, ostomy, and continence nursing and evidence-based practice.

 

Dr Gray is a past president of both the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA) and the Certification board for the Urologic Nurses and Associates. He has received awards for contributions to Urologic and WOC nursing respectively and is a National Association for Continence Care Champion. 

 

Dr Gray was recently awarded the American Urological Association's 2022 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) of the Year.

Refreshments and lunch both days, and all workshop materials.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 10 days+ before course day –  The course fee will be refunded minus handling costs.
 
Cancellations made 10 days or less before first course day, or no-shows, will not be refunded. 
 
Laborie reserves the right to cancel any or all parts of these workshops without prior notice and shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred by registrant.
